Global Sustainability Index (GSI 50)

General Description

The SeaCrest-CRD Global Sustainability Index (GSI 50) is an equally weighted index de-signed to serve as an equity benchmark for global stocks that are taking a leadership role in sustainability performance reporting and are traded on a major US stock exchange. The composite companies voluntarily disclose their carbon footprint, energy usage, water consumption and hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated.

The GSI 50 is a Best of Class index comprised of Global Fortune 500 companies. Selection is based on a proprietary model generated by SmartView®, which measures sustainability performance in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 Guidelines. The scoring methodology takes into consideration financial, social and environmental performance metrics, commonly referred to as the triple bottom line.
